I'm a dedicated father and Santa Ana resident with a track record of community involvement.  I have lived in Santa Ana my entire life.  I was raised in the Downtown Neighborhood and spent a significant amount of time in some of Santa Ana's toughest neighborhoods, including Minnie Street.

I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in my youth out of a desire to serve our nation.  Before I was ever a Marine I was a Santa Ana College student looking to find my direction in life.  After the Marine Corps I graduated UC Irvine and then law school where I volunteered in the Immigrant Justice Clinic representing Special Immigrant Juveniles fleeing persecution.

 

My educational experience at Santa Ana college taught me the value of an affordable, accessible and flexible public education.  Law School made me one of the 43 million Americans shouldering the student loans that are part and parcel of the American dream.
